Cream of Mushroom Soup

My homemade Cream of Mushroom Soup is so creamy and delicious, you won't want that canned stuff anymore!

  • ¼ c Butter
  • 6 oz white Mushrooms, sliced
  • ¼ c medium Onion, diced
  • 1 clove Garlic, chopped
  • ¼ c Flour
  • ½ c Milk
  • ½ c Chicken Base or Broth


  • Melt the butter in a pan, then add mushroom and onion. Cook about 8 minutes, until the onion is soft
  • Add the garlic and sautee for 2 minutes
  • Add the flour and stir, cooking for 2 minutes
  • Whisk in the milk and the broth. Cook until thickened to your liking and serve hot.
